Founded in 1978, Housing Crisis Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization working to prevent homelessness, and stabilize those at risk, in decent and affordable housing. We provide housing programs, in partnership with apartment properties throughout the county, to those chronically homeless. More importantly, we provide the supportive services to help them address the issues that contributed to them becoming homeless. We serve ALL of the homeless populations; i.e., veterans, single-parent families, other families and individuals. We care for more than 230 households in supportive housing. Additionally, we provide short-term rental and utility assistance and support to more than 10,000 at-risk individuals annually through our legal clinics.
