As a vital part of our mission, the goal of the Landlord Tenant program at HCC is to prevent homelessness through offering free legal advice and direction. The Landlord / Tenant sessions are held every second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at HCC. This is a partnership between Legal Aid of Northwest Texas (LANWT), the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DYAP), and HCC. HCC and DYAP recruit attorneys to provide advice during the clinic.
HCC provides all administrative assistance surrounding and during the clinic as well as provides the space to hold the clinic, held at the start of the evening. The clinic typically serves up to 22 households per session. To inquire about these services, please call 214-828-4244.
Our legal program has been cited by the State Bar of Texas for outstanding service.
Please arrive at the Housing Crisis Center, 4210 Junius, at 5:00 PM to sign in.
- The clinic operates on a first come/first served basis.
- The clinic fills up quickly and seating is limited.
- Early sign-ins (before 5:00 PM) are not allowed.
Please note that our volunteer attorneys offer advice only. They are not agreeing to legal representation.
